The Lounge Chair and Ottoman by Vitra were designed by the legendary duo of Charles and Ray Eames and have become an icon of modern furniture design. The armchair is upholstered in high-quality leather and the armrests are attached to the seat and back via rubber-metal connections, also known as shock mounts. The five-star base made of die-cast aluminum makes the chair rotatable, while the Ottoman rests on a four-star base. The base of both the chair and the ottoman is available in chromed or polished aluminium.
Vitra offers numerous options to adapt the Lounge Chair and Ottoman to individual wishes. For example, various leather upholstery is available, including Premium and Grand, in various colors. The Premium leather version is also available in Deep Black. In addition, the seat shell of the chair is available in different types of wood.
The dimensions of the classic Lounge Chair and Ottoman are as follows: the chair has a width of 84 cm, a depth of 85-91 cm, a height of 84 cm and a seat height of 38 cm. The seat depth is 56.5 cm and the backrest is 59.3 cm high. The Ottoman has a width of 63 cm, a depth of 56 cm and a height of 42 cm. A newer version is also available in custom dimensions.
